It is a gel-like polysaccharide produced through a fermentation process of Sclerotium rolfsii on a glucose-based medium. Cosmate^®SCLG is a member of the β-glucan family. It retains skin moisture in a natural way and improves the sensory characteristics of personal care formulations.
